The small size is really small, it's not 40cm, but my cat still liked it.
Liked it so much i bought a second one, my sphynx loves these beds and they keep her nice and toasty. Went for the larger size and have shown both here.

Perfect for my sphynx cat, my furred cats like it too but was on smaller side for them. For naked cats it’s great, reflects their body heat and keeps them lovely and warm. Fabric is a little sparse and the top is slightly stiff and does flop down. I sometimes need to tuck her in and not sure how it will survive washing since she will slowly turn it brown
